J² Commission #1 and #2

So here we are~ The first and also second commissions for J²A, it was extremely fun, so much so that me and K ran out of time to do all the other stuff we were originally planning on doing hahahaha~ but that's alright, it's all just personal plans which we will get to eventually. But let's move on.

So the first commission is a Dollshe Saint, we worked on him first because he was just a simple natural looking face-up, he was lovely though. I have a thing for Dollshe Saints =D I will admit now though, I didn't used to like them at all, they just weren't for me and then I saw K's Saint, Xander and O.M.G. did I fall hard for him XD absolutely love that boy~ but anyway moving on, this is the commission~

The blushing was done by me whilst the line work [look at how thin those lines are!!] were done by K~ pastel blushing and acrylic line work.

So moving onto the next commission, this was a pretty big job. We were asked to work on a Soom Argil, and it was for face-up, fantasy parts blushing and body blushing.

Me and K worked on different parts, I did blushing on face and body whilst she did the blushing on the fantasy parts, and then K did line work on face-up and I did line work on fantasy parts. It was a really fun one to do, the time passed so quickly when we were working on it that it was like WTH happened to the time?? Like each time we checked the time 2 hours would have like past and then before we knew it, it was 10PM =O

Before I sent this lil one home, I took a few pictures of her for personal keeps hahahaha I'm a bit cheeky, but it was too good an opportunity to pass up. So here are a few extra pictures for you guys~

Practicing

I did these a while ago, it's just to get more practice in seeing as I have started working as part of a team XD I borrowed these heads from my partner in crime hahahahaha I was happy to paint them, it was fun~

I was aiming for some green colours on the OE Saint, but that didn't work out as well as I had hoped. I thought that if I just did it in layers it would show on the tan, oh how wrong was I? All the layers that I had put on had just turned brown/black, so it was pointless. The only way I would be able to get the green to show up was if I used an airbrush, but I don't own one, and that would cost me about what? £100 just to get the full kit DX not cool I need more work in order to earn the money for something like that.

Anyway, I did both these face-ups on the same day, and I have also used acrylics for the both of them. I think I will actually be saying good bye to Water Colours and saying hello to Acrylics. I also got myself a new thin brush for the line work seeing as I messed up my last one by trimming it too much =D clever idea wasn't it?? No it wasn't it really wasn't and I wouldn't advise it, seriously, it refuses to give me a point, so all the lines come out thick.

Oh before I forget, Grit doesn't actually have teeth, it just had a gap in it's mouth so I just painted it white to make it pretend teeth XD GO ME~!!!

I'm going to copy and paste this to both my blogs so I apologise if you're getting double posts, but, and there is quite a big but. I don't have enough time to upload pictures and write out two different sections, and both of them will technically be about the same thing. So, here I shall continue.

2011 has been pretty good for me I have to say, despite the lack of work in the creative industry. But it has been good in terms of other jobs such as customer service based jobs, I seem to be getting them a lot easier then anything else. I will be starting the new year as an office administrator, so that will be pretty cool on my part, the working times are stable so hopefully I'll be able to keep being as creative as possible. But this isn't just about me, this is to everyone out there who reads my blogs, I sincerely hope that 2011 has treated you all well, and I hope that 2012 will bring you all much much more~

For the last day I have nothing much to share, but for 2012 I will definitely have plenty of things to share with everyone n_n I have many plans to throw out there, so keep an eye out for me especially in the BJD section. As for the art section, I will kick myself and get to work. And may many more creativity be produced from us all who strive on it n_n

Mu to you Hyunnie

Right! So erm... after I bought Hyunnie, I bought a body, and erm... that was kinda fail but I got it in the end even though it was a pain in the ass, I won't go into the details cause I'm just wearing it out now hahaha and I'm kinda sick of talking about it and reminding myself about the whole ordeal. Anyhow, whilst I was waiting for the body to come I also got a new head -shot- LOL this is bad, I got shown the head by Krowbar XD and I was like oooo he's pwretty, but I don't want him. And then... look what happens. I jumped in on the order with her and got one in the end hahahahahahaha!

He arrived super fast, so on the Monday just gone I went to pick him up and we (Metalli, Krowbar and myself) also arranged to have a face-up day, I did half of his face-up at Krowbar's place and then I finished him off at home XD Anyway, I found that the Nabarro Har head works quite well with the Souldoll Double body that belongs to Mito XD So now I have two bodies and four heads, BODY SHARE! Not that I mind it'll just be extra effort to change the cloths~

So first of all before I go and jump right into the whole shoot that I did today let me introduce the new boy, I decided in the end that he's going to be Chinese XD yes I know I said I wasn't going to make a Chinese character and look what happens, I make a Chinese character XD

He's my sleepy lazy IT pro boy who doesn't like to be bothered XD I'll say he's the age of 20, prefers to be called Kit his second name, but everyone just results in calling him Mu Chan when they find out his full name XD especially Mito hahahaha he likes to poke fun and tease =P

So now with the introductions over, I present to you the mini shoot I did with both Mu Chan and Hyunnie, I ran out of time when I was doing Mu Chan cause the mother came home so I had to pack everything away DX but at least I got some pictures n_n

As you may have noticed the colour of my pictures change midway through XD it's because I changed the white balance half way through pwuhahahahaha yush also I apologise for blinding you with the uber white-ness in some of the pictures, but it's a very nice effect and brings out the dolls very well~ I hope you enjoyed the pictures n_n

Mito in Kimono

Ok so I recently bought a Kimono off of DOA and OMG it is the most beautiful set of clothes I have seen in my life, the detail on the Kimono is just amazing. I can't really describe it, it's one of the most amazing set out of everything I own, and is just, it makes me want to protect it more than I want to use it hahahaha. But I have pictures to show =3= these were at the request of me wanting to see it on a doll, and my friends wanting to see the outfit n_n Unfortunately Mito is the only male who is complete at the moment, but this outfit isn't for him, it's for Hyunnie~

I decided to do a "sexy" shoot afterwards hahahahaha~ Mito showing off his skinny body XD this was most probably bought on by the 'Sexy photos of your doll' thread on DOA, it's not actually named that, but it's along the same lines hahahaha. But these aren't really that sexy XD They're just teasing ones hahaha~

Midwinter Ball November 2011

The London Pygmalion Society held a Midwinter Ball on the 12th of November 2011, seeing as I've never actually been to the past ones. This was due to the fact that I actually disappeared from the doll community for about a year or so, but with that aside I enjoyed myself. It was fun, and it was nice talking to people. Although I'm as shy as hell when it comes to meeting new people, it was good to see the community coming together. I got to watch the lovely Doctor Krowbar help people with their dollie dilemmas, I got to see how she worked and I learnt quite a bit. It was also great seeing all of them dressed up, as well as the owners dressed up to match hehehe. Anyway I'll continued the chatter after the pictures, enjoy~!!

Unfortunately I didn't take that many pictures, in fact I missed out on a lot of the dollies that were there. I totally missed some of the competition entries, there were so many good ones that my eyes were like where do I look? But the little match stick girl Rose was a well deserved win, yes I don't have a picture of her TT^TT which is a shame, cause she was so well done. I thought they did a really good job on organizing the meet, and then the raffle tickets. Where the money was donated to Cancer Research, I think about £280 was raised, I can't quite remember. But either way it was all done for good deeds. I thought the prizes were all good too, I was glad I actually got to see a Teru head, I would have liked to have seen it up close. But yet again I was too shy to ask the winner DX Jatzu fail hahaha. If another one is held next year, I would like to attend again, because it was as I keep saying a lot of fun.

Hyunnie You're Home~

So recently I've been planning on upgrading my dollie crew, so I sold Recco's body in hope that I'd get him an SDF body with the money I got from the DIM one. Unfortunately for me, my plans were thwarted ¬_¬ I forget whether I mention my plans on here or not, but I had actually planned on buying a Souldoll H.C. Yurr. I actually saw someone selling the head on the marketplace, and was tempted to buy him, then realised I actually needed to get Recco his body and if I was to get H.C. Yurr it would have to be full doll, and then the unthinkable happened.... no I didn't buy the H.C. Yurr, I ended up buying a different head DX

Esthy Peroth isn't actually on my wish list, in fact. Because it's such a rare head, I wasn't really hoping to get one. But erm... yer...¬_¬ I curiously went onto the marketplace, and as you can probably guess I went and bought the head... TT^TT plans for upgrading Recco gone. But I don't regret it, in fact I think I would have regretted it if I let this chance pass me by, and I'd have to wait god knows how long before another one came up.

So here is a mini box opening.

As you can imagine, seeing this boy had made me forgive him for thwarting my plans to upgrade Recco. Although Recco wouldn't have said the same ¬_¬

Oh also may I add, I would have taken more photos, but my camera died. So I will save that for next time eh?

During the wait for him to come home I was trying to work out a character for him, I figured all of mine were more or less from the city. Maybe apart from Recco and Toki, they are from the country side I suppose seeing as ones a rabbit and ones a bird XD But yer Hyunnie will be a country bumpkin, I also noticed that from my collection I had Japanese and English names. I'm Chinese and people would have thought I'd go for a Chinese name, but they're hard to translate and don't sound all that good most of the time ¬_¬ Like how in Chinese a Dragon is called Lueng, in Japanese it's called Ryu... see the difference? Yer... I mean I love the Chinese language and am very proud to be able to speak it, but naming my characters and then having to translate is a pain XD

Anyway, this boy is technically replacing the H.C. Yurr, yes it means I won't be bringing him home. I was originally naming the H.C. Yurr Fenwick Le Moore, a very English name? Yup XD They were places I went past when I went to Scotland last month. But yer that name didn't seem to suit the Peroth and well, I noticed I didn't have one with a Korean name, and I'm, well trying to study the language but failing quite miserably. But without further ado I present to you,

Joo Hyun Wook 주현욱

Nickname Hyunnie XD cause it sounds like honey pfffft!

Some small facts for you, Esthy Peroth was produced back in 2007, and it was an order based creation, so there is only the amount that was ordered back then out in the world, which from what I know is around 30-40. I wasn't even in the hobby then, well not seriously into the hobby. My friend had shown me BJDs back then, but I was scared of them XD still am, I can't stand having the dolls out at night in the dark TT^TT they scare me. Anyhow, I had only really gotten into the whole hobby in 2009. Since then I've already sold quite a few dolls, I sold Dream of Doll DOI Luke the original shell of Ranke, and my very first doll. I also sold off Crobidoll Yeon Ho head, cause I couldn't handle twins, three DIM Minimee male heads, and finally three DIM bodies XD I remember saying how I was satisfied with my number of 5 and now it's turned into a number of 6! I'm kinda glad that I'm not an avid doll owner, so I won't be bringing too many home XD Although 6 is quite a lot considering I've only been in the hobby for 2 years now hahahahaha~

Blushed Hands

A few days ago I decided that I wanted to wire the arms of my dolls, cause they weren't posing very well. So I got me some wire XD I should have done like a mini tutorial for it, but I didn't think about it until now DX, it's really simple really hahaha

I was planning on wiring both the arms on one bit of wire, but that turned out to be pretty impossible, especially in Xeren the Zaoll Muse. So in the end I just used two bits of wires for her arms, and she poses really nicely. Her arms hold in place and it just makes her that extra more loveable. I also wired Mito's arms, the souldoll double. Yes, you're probably saying, "But isn't that body like a dream to pose already?" Yes he is a dream to pose already, but the problem I have with him is his new string... it makes he's arms flick back up a lot which is a sign that they're strung too tightly, however, it's the tightness that I like, so in order to stop it from flicking I wired his arms as well.

So after wiring them up, there wasn't much else for me to do. I then remembered that recently I had wanted the Soom jointed hands, THEY ARE LUSH~!! But I'll see if I have the money to buy them when they do their special orders again, Recco and Mito will need some in my opinion XD Also Recco will need a new body first (Yer... I recently sold his DIM body, I'm on the hunt for a Luts SDF Type 2 body). But anyway I saw all these lovely blushed hands and reckoned that if I did get my hands on a pair of the jointed hands I would want to blush them. So I practiced on Xeren's hands XD

I have to admit they were a lot of fun, and this time with the help of a tutorial and a bit more patience they turned out a lot better then when I first attempted it on the DOI Luke I had a year ago XD. But the lesson I learnt here was that I need to work on blushing the joints on top of the hand, they look ok and not so ok hahahaha, maybe the blending needs a bit more work. But either way I personally think they came out alright and I will be blushing Mito's hands next.

Pwuhahahaha~!

Here as you can see I had another commission~ I equal happy seeing as I got to work on a...

MIGIDOLL RYU~

I was worried that I would mix the dolls up, however it was alright cause this one is white skin. I have worked on white skin before, however they were my own personal collection, and not much was done to them. They got really simple face-ups. I find that white skin is really nice to work with, but it gets dirty really easily hahaha and all the base colours have to be light, you also have to work really carefully with the build up of the colours. Too much and it will look not so very nice.

However I have to say thank you to Miguelina, she had planned on me working on her boy quite a while back, it was after I had worked on her Yuri boy n_n so it's really nice to get a return customer. She pretty much gave me reference and didn't want something that was too overpowering due to the fact that he was white skin, so I worked to it.

Yes... I planned on trying to do a step by step, I remembered it once, and then I totally forgot after I took one picture of a semi base -sigh- I will eventually remember to do a step by step of the face-up. I used to do livestreaming of me doing face-ups but I only do them if people really want to watch them hahaha~ After doing the first base I realised how scarey he looks XD the boy looks like an ill person hahaha, I suppose it would be a really good look if it's what you're going for. I think at one point I really liked that kinda look on the Ryu a really pale ill look, I might do that on a new doll I plan to get, but lets get back to the face-up.

Yes I ended up going right ahead and finished it without the stages XD I worked so much on it hahaha.

So this was a pretty heavy face-up, well it's not like heavy heavy, the red kinda subtracts from the browns, I was actually using Hayden Hiritai's boy as reference, I fell in love with her Ryu when I first saw him and made me want one myself. So yer~ he doll inspires a lot of people I have to say.

After showing Miguelina what I had done, she then asked me to darken the areas around his eyes, which was fine cause it didn't really take much. Just extra blushing n_n

I was given the a-ok so I sealed him up, added some gloss and even put some eyes I had into him to take a few pictures hehehe, another thing that is irrelevant to the face-up I really like blue eyes n_n I'm also a big fan of glass eyes XD

Commission #8

And I am back in action~

So a while before I quit my job I was asked by SofieB* if I was free to do a face-up for her boy, and so I said yes but she'd had to wait until after 15th Oct, the day I was quitting. However she was fine with it and said that she would wait. Now it's the 17th Oct and I have completed a face-up on her boy.

You see I was going to do a stage by stage one again, but I totally forgot XD I took a picture of when the doll was blank and then just worked on it and... well I ended up just finishing it and being all like er... I totally forgot hahaha. Anyhow I have pictures for you gaze upon n_n

This was initially the final thing, and then I remembered my signature moles hahaha just had to add them in XD

A tattoo was also part of the commission and SofieB wanted some stars running down the side of the boys face which kinda curled around the ear, my stars are a little wonky -looks around innocently- the small ones were hard to draw but he bigger ones were easier to work with, but a mixture obviously looks better hahaha. Hard work paid off n_n

Restringing

So today I restrung two boys, the first was my sisters Crobidoll Nia called Narvine but I call him Nar Nar for short XD he was really loose and refused to sit up or even stand, instead he enjoyed laying down, but now that he's been restrung he stands better and even sits up YAY!

Secondly I restrung Mito, however I have a feeling that he still needs to be tightened just that tiny bit more, but it's not too bad at the moment, what I might do is wait for the elastic to loosen a bit before I reattempt another restringing session, seeing as the string he currently has is relatively new and I can't actually stretch it out that much, I'm a bit weak XD

Anyway, I didn't just restring the boys I also took pictures of them. Recco even got involved in the picture taking hehehe. Excuse my commentary throughout~

Wow, it has been like 3 months since I last updated anything. I do apologise I've been so busy with work that I'm literally getting exhausted, but before I am forgotten or I forget that I even have this blog I have a few things to update based on the BJD section kehehe.

So a while back I actually managed to sell off Mito's DIM body, and decided to bring home a Souldoll double body instead of a Luts SDF body. The stringing was hilariously tight when I got him hahaha, the previous owner did warn me but I thought I wanted him together in one piece so I risked it. Ended up getting like burns across my hands not good eh? But either way, I then went to Hong Kong in July, I missed Dollism like usual XD but I managed to find some BJD shops in Mong Kok area which was cool, and I got some new string for Mito as well as a new outfit. My original thought was that if I didn't like the outfit I could just sell it off. It's really good quality and to be honest I wouldn't find something like that for that kind of price on the market place. It would probably cost me an arm and a leg. But either way, yes Mito has been updated, with a few minor faults to his stringing, I need to tighten up his body a bit, but I will have to do that when I am free next time n_n

Commission #7 [Part 2]

Right! Part 2 is here.

I finished the face up, I don't really have much tips for it hahaha. But I'll list you some of the things that is needed.

So lets have a look at my desk, there is the usual needed stuff, but there's also a lot of crap hahahahah.

- Laptop
Ok so you don't really need a laptop to be there, but I need to have reference images just to get a general idea of what sort of faceup the commissioner is looking for, I also have either music or TVB drama playing. I tend to work a lot better with TVB drama in the background even if I end up not really paying attention, it keeps my mind from being bored.

- Water colours
I only really use a select few, I mainly use the browns occasionally the red for scars but as you can see on the lid I have mixed my own colours as well, whilst also using it as a palette. My black and white water colours come from tubes, so they go onto the lid which is really helpful and it also prevents me from wasting the water colours [they're expensive], so even though they dry on the lid, all I need to do is to just add water and taadaa~ you can use them again.

- Chalk Pastels
Do not, and I repeat do not use oil pastels. They will really stain your doll, so avoid. I know that a lot of people use a palette knife to scrape the chalk to create the dust for blushing, but I just rub them against a bit of paper until I get enough dust n_n A varied amount of colours is good, my set is 48 colours. But a lot of them I don't use. Kinda wish I could use more of the blues and purples XD but oh well.

- Magic Eraser
This stuff is amazing and great!! Just cut it so that you have like a pointy bit and it helps so much when you make a mistake and need to clean just that section of the doll.

- Pot Of Water
My pot is made from a bottle XD, comes in handy for cleaning your brushes or for when you need water to dip your magic eraser in.

- Brushes
I use one hard brush, and I use it for a lot of the base blushing. Then I have a set of soft brushes, these I use mainly to darker the colours on the dolls face, also a thin brush for eyebrows, eyelashes and lip lines. Then the final brush for glossing.

- Tissues
Tissues come in handy for when you want to rub off excess chalk dust, but you gotta be careful cause it can smudge, or to dry areas that you have wet and cleaned. Oh also great for cleaning fingers as well hahahaha, and for doing freckles [hearts]

So first we need to seal the head, best to do it in an open area so that you don't suffocate from MSC/Purity Seal. I use Purity Seal, and I don't really find it all that different from MSC to be honest. I know a lot of people have several debates about it, but you know, each to their own and whichever one you feel more comfortable with.

So once the seal is dried you can start working on it, I feel a bit awkward when I start cause I don't know how to really go about it hahaha, I tend to start with the base blushing and slowly feel my way to where ever it is that I need to end up with. As you can see in the picture below, the boy has some ginger eyebrows XD don't worry that ain't really the colour of his eyebrows, it's just to help me get an idea of where to put them.

So after about an hour or so we have what you see a near finished face up below.

I discovered after a while that there were some dents next to this boy's eyes. The blushing I had applied before had made them even more evident, which isn't a very good look, so I needed to find a way to make them not to obvious.

So in the end I removed the blushing near the eye area on both sides, and it made the dents almost invisible XD. So here you have the finished face up, although missing gloss XD

So we seal the head, I sometimes get a bit heavy handed on the sealing part, so in this case the right side of the eye got a bit misty white. I tried my best to fix it, so now it doesn't look too bad.

Those eyes don't belong to the boy, but I had some spares so I thought that it best to shove them in him and take a few pictures hahahaha.
But either way he looks all pretty now n_n

Commission #7 [Part 1]

No you're not seeing things I am doing this commission in parts hahahaha I've been so busy at work that time isn't working out for me. So yush this one will be done in parts, I am being commissioned by Miguelina, she is currently away in Thailand so I get to babysit her boy for a while, until she comes back which isn't too long. He is a Migidoll Yuri, whom is really pretty n_n

This is just a cleanup update, Miguelina had already cleaned him, but because she was in a rush he still had quite a bit of MSC residue left on him so I sorted that out.

I know that a lot of people when removing faceups have the trouble of removing it from the nooks and crannies (the pictures above are an example), well no worries I have a good tip for you.

Use a soft toothbrush n_n they are great for getting to those places, using a soft one will minimise the scratching it does on the resin, but it will still do the job. If you're in the UK go to your local supermarket and buy like a toddlers toothbrush, they're perfect for it. Or if you have a Superdrug they're doing kiddy toothbrushes for 10p XD

Mine is a gift from a friend, but I can't use it on my teeth cause it's way too soft, so it's perfect for faceups n_n it's well cute, has a penguin floating inside it kekekekee

It broke whilst I was cleaning the head TT^TT someone had dropped it on the floor and didn't tell me and whilst I was cleaning it kinda just broke off... now I only have half a toothbrush head TT^TT I might have to invest in one of those Superdrug 10p kiddy toothbrushes now.

Ok so with my mini drama over, the head is all clean n_n

So I had a return customer which is pretty awesome in my books XD

This time I was asked to redo the face-up on a Souldoll Yewon, she was very pretty indeed n_n

Thank you Junnosukebe for asking me to do the face up.

So lets begin, the face up in which the doll came to me was previously done by Pandatoots. How do I know? That's cause I lived with her for a period of time and got used to seeing the style of face ups she did XD it's not hard to miss hahaha. But yush, Junnosukebe had wanted to give this girl a more tomboy look, and although this style was very pretty and brought out the innocence (which I'm guessing was how the character was before the change), it wasn't very tomboy like.

So for clean up XD She looked so different without all the colours.

Now Junnosukebe had given me full on creativity reign, the only request was that I gave her a more tomboy look and that the eyebrows needed to be dark. So. . . I actually got stuck hahahaha but I pulled inspiration from the previous face up, the green eye shadowing was pretty and I thought doing something along those lines would be pretty awesome and she could still look tomboy ish. All I had to do was darken the colours. Oh and I almost forgot there was one more request for moles, which I was so happy to have received XD I'm a mole and freckle on dolls freak kekekeke.

So there you have the face up n_n it was fine as it was, I got an A OK from Junno so I sealed and glossed it n_n

I lied XD I have one more picture to share, I couldn't resist, her head was just the right size and I had a dark red wig lying around, it came with my Zaoll Muse but I just haven't decided on whether I want to keep it or to sell it yet, so well seeing as it was there I thought why not!

So on AU I saw that xblackravenx was looking to commission someone for a face up, and I thought that this would be a good opportunity to get back into working with BJDs. So I asked to see if I could be considered for it and she said yes n_n

I was asked to do a face up and to also blush some horns, I'll start with the horns on this blog.

This is how the horns arrived to me, they were very pretty indeed. But all that airbrushing needed to be taken off.

There was some staining on the horns due to indents, I had done my best to get rid of these markings.

What the Magic Eraser looked like after doing lots and lots of scrubbing XD I actually ended up using two pieces and they both ended up like that.

Ah how pretty they look after a good old scrubbing n_n

I was trying to show people how big these horns were so used my hand as a comparison.

So I started blushing them, xblackravenx wanted them blushed cream with pink. So I thought of doing this, they turned out looking raspberry swirls. . . or according to my sister, looked like prawns XD

I ended up getting rid of what I did previously and told xblackravenx that maybe it would look better with the pink darkened at the bottom of the horn and gradually blending into the rest like halfway, and she agreed after I did this n_n

Next was the Rococo patterns she wanted on the horns, personally I wasn't keen on them. But they ain't my horns XD So I did what was asked and actually to be completely honest they didn't turn out that bad in the end. So all was good.

And this is the end result of both the horns n_n I enjoyed doing them. Actually this reminds me of when I used to do Rococo patterns on my school work cause I would get bored and then I would just be drawing them on the side of my notes and think that they were uber cool XD

Now I will move onto the face up.

The face up that the boy had when he came to me, it was actually very pretty subtle natural face up n_n simple is good in my books.

All cleaned up n_n

Right this is what I did first to the boy going by pure description, I'm not that great with description cause I know that I will always see it very differently to how the owner will want. That is why updating the owner is always a must in my book, I would hate to get the face up wrong.

This wasn't what the owner was looking for, so I made changes after she gave me some reference images. Ended up making a bit darker then what I had in mind from the description, but the references really helped and made working on the boy much easier.

The boy with his eyes in n_n it gives the face up a different feel to it.

I assumed that the horns belonged to this boy so I couldn't resist taking photos of him with the whole set on n_n and I have to say he looks pretty cool.

Wah! So I haven't been updating this blog at all, I apologise for that. I'm not very active in the dollie world, I mean I still love my crew and all but I just don't feel as passionate to bring them out and take photoshoots. I will try to every now and again, I've also stopped going to doll meets which is bad. Why is it bad? It means I'm being anti social again XD and also the fact that that contributes to my non activeness in the dollie world. But I'm still more then happy to do dollie face ups and tattoos now, got a taste of it from the last face up request. Anyway I came here to shower you with love from Mito, since the last time you guys saw him, he's had a change of wigs and now even a change of personality. He emits a much more cheekier and laid back kinda feel nowadays, I love cheeky characters so I don't mind so much XD Anyway ENJOY!

Ooo I haven't had one of these in a while now =P

I got asked to do a faceup and tattoo for Junnosukebe.

I will start with the face up =D

The boy came to me with his factory faceup, which was very well done. Sometimes I feel bad for taking the factory faceup off, but a commission is still a commission =D

I didn't take a shot where his head was naked hahahaha so we have a big time skip.

This is the finished product, well close to. I don't have a very decent image of the kid with the final faceup, the only thing he is missing in this is the final seal, gloss oh and a few more extra freckles that I added. . . I think that is starting to become my trademark.

Next up is the tattoo that Junnosukebe asked me to do, she wanted to crow design and gave me an example. In my head I thought yer I can just do a template and just put that on the dolls back. HAH! wrong again Jatzu, in the end I went looking at all sorts of crow tattoos, and designed one based on the ones I saw and presented it to Junnosukebe.

In the end I hand-drew it and hand-painted it, I tried my best not to make brush marks with the tattoo. But I'm pretty happy with the end result, turned out better then I expected =D

Anyway I hope Junnosukebe likes what I have done n_n

It's been a while since I last bought my dollies out, I didn't even update when I had Ranke's faceup done. Just shows how busy/lazy I've been =P

Anyway it's not really fresh air, but hey it beats being stuck in a box, I should really bring out the other two but I think I will leave that for Tuesday, hang on I said other two but I meant three, opps kekekekeke. But then again Toki is still bald so he's waiting for a wig before he comes into the sight of a camera.

All done with his face up, I was planning on taking this lil Kiddo with me to Hong Kong, but I just can't bring myself to take him with me. Why?

Well I won't really have time to take him out and take pictures, and although I was originally planning to go to Dollism 5 this year in Hong Kong, I decided not to go in the end.

I forgot which it is, but either it's the Book Convention or the Anime Convention that is on the same day, so either way books are more important to me then going to the doll convention, specifically manga books and art books @_@ I can't resist, and must not overdo the buying this year.

Hey Hey!!

I don't know how up to date I have kept you guys, but I'll just repeat myself if I've already said this.

Recently [I say recently but more or less 2 months ago] I sold off my DOI Luke, whom was my first character Ranke. But despite a very lovely boy, very pretty and sweet looking, he was just too big for me to handle. So I sold him off, now because he was my first ever character created in doll form I felt a bit bad for de-shelling him. So in return I got the boy a new shell =D

He is just so uber cutes =3

He has kitty paws for hands and feet, but I will only be keeping the hand paws cause I ain't a fan of the feet, instead I will be replacing them with the Soom Gargoyle feets =D He also has ears too which I'm waiting for one to dry as I type this, needed some glue action on them kekekeke and he has a tail too, despite not being sure of the tail at first I think I will be keeping it now.

When I first bought this Kiddo I wasn't too sure about his face, there was something about it that kinda bugged me, so I was scared that I wouldn't like it and therefore wouldn't bond. But that isn't a problem anymore, cause the face is just adorable. I'm looking forward to working on him soon, and I have decided that it best to make him into an Ethopian Wolf cause of all the red, although those Wolves aren't really like red red, they are the closest and they look like foxes too n_n

But yer this Kiddo will defo be a keeper kekekeke I will work on him sometime this week-ish, probs Tuesday seeing as I will be free that day =D

Rems had Smirked and walked over towards John, as soon as he was close enough he had grabbed John by the collar.

“What makes you think that I'm at the top?,” Rems had started, “to you I may be, but to that government system I'm not. I'm merely at the bottom. I'm not at the top until those bastard rats are eliminated, but guess what? They're never gona be eliminated, why? Because there are losers like you that keep loosing their slaves to them.”

John was in slight shock, he wasn't expecting Rems to be that close up to him. In fact this was the first time that he had seen Rems up close, his green eyes held no emotion.

“Oh,” Rems had started again, “it's Rems to my friends, but Mr. Rems to you.”

John had nodded vigorously, Rems had let go of the man who had now stepped back a little to recollect himself. Suddenly a tutting noise could be heard, Rems had turned immediately towards the sound, he noticed that the two animas were missing and his men were out cold.

“Now now Rems.” A voice had said from the shadows, thats no way to treat your underlings.”

“How nice of you join us Yuke.” Rems had snarled, “well it seems like you have good timing as usual.”

Yuke had stepped out from the shadows, the man was standing tall with a katana in hand. His grey eyes had shone bright like the moon in the dark, two more pairs of eyes had shown themselves in the dark. Rems had gathered that they were his younger twin brothers, Alex and Jiro.

“I see, your whole family is here.” Rems had bowed as he spoke, “I feel honoured that you're all here to greet me. But unfortunately, I must take my leave now.”

Yuke knowing what was to happen next had ran forwards, but just as he had gotten close a smoke bomb had erupted with a spark causing him to shield his eyes. He had snarled at the fact that Rems had gotten away again, whilst containing his anger he had turned to the twins.

“How are they?”

“The girl is fine, but the boy is losing a lot of blood.Alex had responded.

“We should take them to go see Coden, he'll patch them up.” Jiro said playfully.

Ranke had felt a stinging pain across his chest, as he was starting to stir he could hear a murmur of voices.

“...leave the boy to me.”

“How could I?”

“You don't trust me?”

“Mirim, I know what you're like. He's under my care, now go tend to your own patients.”

“But he's so ca-wute...please?”

“I said no. Now leave!

“Ok, ok, ok, no need to shout. Hunny bun I'm coming!”

Ranke had opened his eyes to find a man sighing, he didn't look too pleased, but had gone back to looking at his clipboard. As Ranke had made a notion to move, the man's attention was directed at him.

“Oh you're awake, now don't move too much. Or you'll burst your stitches, but how do you feel?”

How do I feel? Ranke had thought, sore. That was one way to describe it, but instead of voicing his opinion he had kept quiet. Instead he had looked around, he could tell he was at some hospital type place, but yet he wasn't sure. Suddenly it had hit him, the cat girl where was she? Just before Ranke could make a move to get up the man had placed a hand on his shoulder and gently pushed him back into his bed.

“You don't need to worry about her, she's fine.”

He had then pointed to a bed that was diagonal to Ranke's bed, there on top of it was the cat girl. Ranke felt slightly relieved, but now had wondered how the guy knew what he was thinking.

“I can hear people's thoughts, oh let me introduce myself before I forget. My name is Coden, and your name is?”

Coden had waited but there was no response, he had frowned slightly and looked back down at his chart whilst flicking through it.

“Now this is weird, it says here that your vocals are fine, so you can't possibly be a mute.”

Ranke had looked away again, I'm not a mute, I just don't like to speak. What's the point when there is no one to listen to you anyway.

“Ah I see.” Coden had responded, at least let me know what you are called, I can't keep calling you boy.”

Ranke Murada

“Thank you Ranke.” Coden said as he scribbled it down. “now just rest here, it'll take you a few days for those wounds to heal. It takes longer for a half breed like you.”

How did you know I was a half breed?

“Thats because we have several half breeds here, someone will come explain everything to you once you are better, but as said for now just rest and concentrate on getting yourself healed.”

Once Coden had finished checking Ranke's board, he had replaced it at the end of his bed and wondered off to help other patients that were in the room. Ranke really had no choice now but to lie down and rest, there wasn't anything he could now.

Hurray!!!

I got Recco's head back this morning from my housemate after she put some scar on my boy's face, and he looks awesome. Although I feel really sorry for him, but his look is almost there, now all I'm missing is the god damn bunny ears. Which will hopefully arrive tomorrow, although I wouldn't hold my breath.

I have the feeling that Parcel Force will be receiving another phone call from me. . .

Ok so I don't usually update this often, but hey I have an update so why not?

So I haven't really had much time recently with the whole animation and all, but I managed to get some time today to work on Recco, although technically I think it was more to do with the fact that I didn't really want to work on my animation today.

Instead I redid this buys face up, he needed a more evil look to him, and I have to say, it didn't come out the best but it is the darkest face up I have ever done out of all the ones that I have ever done, it was fun and a good experience.

Excuse the fact that he doesn't have eyes, he's currently gone to my housemate to have his scars installed =D and then his face will be complete YAY!

Hey guys n_n I have a semi BJD update for you all.

Some of you will know that I'm currently selling my big DOI Luke who used to be Ranke, but no worries I'm bringing him back =D but this post isn't about him, it's more about the twins that I bought home thinking that they would be his younger brothers. However I've had bonding issues, and was considering in whether to sell the twins or not as well. . . but I didn't want to, so instead I decided to re-design them.

So first up is Secco who used to Calcifer n_n he's my lil cute girly bunny boy =D thumbs up for the girly boys n_n but yer it's almost complete just missing bunny ears, as for his older twin brother Recco, he will take a fair bit more work to re-design so for now Secco is just gona have to be lonely and wait for the return of his older brother.

Ranke - 07/03/2010 - That Is Mine

After five hours of wondering the streets, Ranke had decided to wander down the back alley streets. He was certain that he could find somewhere to take shelter for the night, as he turned off into the alley, the atmosphere had started to slowly change. From a rich lively atmosphere, it had turned stale. Quickly Ranke had found a spot to sit in, it was pretty empty in the area that he found himself, he had made sure that he was away from people, as he wasn't too sure himself on what kinds of things that could happen to him. Coming down to the back alleys wasn't the best of ideas, but there was no where else he could go.

The night had brought with it a cold breeze, Ranke had no way of keeping himself warm. He had wrapped his arms round himself in attempt to stop the heat from escaping, as he was starting to slowly drift off Ranke heard foot steps which was followed by a rather loud smashing noise. Unable to sleep, he had gotten curious to what was going on. So he followed the sound, keeping out of sight he had peaked past a corned to only find a man towering over a woman.

"So you thought you could escape?" The man had asked tauntingly. "ANSWER ME!"

Now the man had grabbed the women by the hair and lifted her up.

"Whats up? Cat got your tongue?!"

More laughter could be heard coming from behind the man as he had spoken, Ranke without a doubt knew who and what he was. A slave trader, the government had passed down an agreement allowing slave traders to hunt and capture any Anima that didn't have a master. And by the looks of things the woman was of Cat Anima Heritage.

"If you don't behave lil girl you'll end up with a nasty scar on your face just like Terry over there."

A tall scarred man had wagged his long thin fingers at the girl, in response she had hissed at him and had even clawed at the man that was grabbing her hair. As she had managed to scratch the man he had quickly retracted his arm and swore, he then took out a short sword and was preparing to slash it at the girl. Ranke had at that point ran out and threw himself at the man, landing hard onto the floor the man had growled. Ranke on the other hand had stood up quickly, grabbed the girl by the hand and pulled her behind him running in the direction he had come from. To his surprise he had ran straight into the sword of another slave trader, the new slave trader had bought his sword down on him without warning.

Ranke had crumpled to the floor, causing the cat girl to scream.

"Kid are you alright?!"

The new slave trader had stepped out from the shadows, he was now wiping the blood from his sword.

"How pathetic." He had snarled, "Now you'll have to thank me for this John. I think I'll be taking these kids with me."

"Now come on, I need to earn a living too you know. At least take the dying one and give me back the cat. Afterall I did catch her first."

"Tch! I do your job for you and you still try to bargain with me, what am I ever to do with you John?"

I never posted this one up, I got another commission like a month ago. Nothing much to really say about this one, cause what had happened was that on the factory face up they had blushed him so much he ended up with a very thin looking nose. Anyway I know the owner so she offered for me to do this for her =D

This is the faceup I did for this boy, I need to improve on drawing eyebrows, I need to be a bit more daring and do thicker eyebrows. . . but no matter what I do I always end up doing thin ones. . .

Anyhow Suvifay was happy with the face up despite the fact that he had a few dust specks on him, she didn't mind so much so it was alright n_n

Sisterly Love

I did Xeren's face up last night, I was mainly experimenting with her face seeing as I hadn't done a female's face before, so I used quite a bit of reference for it and just taking the bits I like and putting it onto her face.

So she looked alright after this, but there was one thing bugging me and that was the eyebrows, I have absolutely nothing against ginger people, it's just that it didn't go with her hair so yer, I took the face off this morning and gave her a new one.

I prefer this face up to the one before, I also remembered to add the freckles, and some beauty marks which kinda matches with Fauna's face up, and whilst I'm on the subject of Fauna, I managed to snag the girl from Panda to reference the markings and taking the opportunity I managed to do a photo shoot with them and I had fairly decent lighting so YAY! The first time in many days that I've managed to get lighting correctly for photos lately. So here are the photos!

Look Who Else Got Bodies

Both my twins received their bodies a few days ago and they are looking so cute, in the image it shows not such a great resin match but when you look at it you can't really tell by eye. So yer...

Oh and yer they're a bit topless at the moment, I will make them t-shirts when I have the time n_n

Alyex [Left] and Calcifer [Right] are my Crobidoll Yeon Ho Twins n_n If you're interested they're on DIM minimee bodies, which are pretty nice, I really like their hands, despite the fact that their bodies are a bit annoying at times, like with standing and sitting, but I can get used to it.

Everybody, meet Xeren, she's a Zaoll Muse.

She also happens to be Mito's other half, well they ain't married but I thought they could be a couple, and they look so sweet together. But man she is light petite well not really petite, but she's a really nice handful to have, and not only that I really like how her body is shaped, I'm a perv for curvy bodies and hips and legs and I also like the fact that her dare I say it breasts aren't huge. She is like perfect in body shape and figure.

But all this has had a downside on me ;_; I'm starting to not like Ranke's size, at times I don't like it at times I don't mind it, I think I will sell his body and make him a bit smaller, I mean he's the only big boy I have being at 70cm. I don't regret getting a 70cm for my first doll, it was a nice experience and all but now that I've had the taste of smaller dolls, my boys are 60cm and Xeren is 50cm I think... but yer I think I'd prefer to have a slightly smaller boy, I could never sell his head, that is the one thing I bonded with the most. But yer the body in which I plan to give him is if I can get my hands on one, a DOT new body type 2, but if I get impatient enough I will settle for just the DOT new body. Ranke is definitely one that I could never sell.

Mini update as I'm also considering to update Ranke's story, I plonked Ranke next to Mito and look what happened.

They were leaning towards each other, I thought it was uber cute. Another funny thing about this is that their characters are best friends, Mito is one of Ranke's most trusted friends n_n I have yet to develop Mito's character a bit more. I will get there eventually =D

Ranke - 17/02/2010 - To Be?

Ranke had looked down at the letter that was in his hand, he didn't really know what to make of it. It was only 10 minutes ago that he was told that his father had cut the funds to support him at the orphanage, which resulted in them kicking him out.

"Ranke your father has stopped the funds to look after you within this orphanage,"

Ranke stared blankly at Ceril, she wasn't too sure on if the boy had understood her but she carried on.

"The orphanage has no choice but to have you leave, you are also forbidden from seeing your brothers before you leave."

Her last sentence seemed to have gotten a reaction out of the boy, he had sat up paying more attention, his facial expression had asked why.

"This is a request from your Father, even though he has put you into this orphanage, he still holds guardian rights to you. And even if he didn't, your Father is after-all a high councilor withing the syndicate, there is no one who would stand up against his words."

Ceril had stood and walked over to the boy, she had carefully taken a letter out from her pocket and handed it to Ranke, as the boy had taken it from her, she had placed her hand on his shoulder.

"Your Father told me to give this to you, he has told you to forget about the twins and to concentrate on your life. This will be the last favour he does for you, make the most of it."

That was the last conversation that Ranke had received from Ceril before he was politely taken out of the orphanage by guards, this was as he suspected the doing of his Father to prevent him from seeing his brothers. So now he was sat on the streets with only a few things to his name next to him, he had to find a way to get his brothers back, but what could a 16 year old boy do? There wasn't any possible way for him to look after two 10 year olds by himself, sure it was fine at the orphanage, but outside where he didn't even have a penny to his name, how in the world would he manage? However the answer to what he was to do next was in his hand, he had looked down at it. The letter his Father had left him, it didn't have loving and caring words, instead it was just the time, date and place of where he needed to be in order to get the job of a tea boy. He had shrugged to himself, it was somewhere to start, but looking again at the date, he realised that he wasn't due til two days later.

Leaning back and sighing to himself, he was certain now that his Father was set out to make his life miserable, or more like his step mother was set out to make his life miserable. But oh well, there wasn't much he could do about it, he wasn't exactly in any position to retaliate. Leaning forward again, Ranke had sighed once more before getting up off the ground. Well seeing as he had time to kill he decided to wonder about the city to see what was about, and to also look for a possible bed for the next two nights.

Ok, thought I should warn all you that follow my blog, I've been itching to RP lately and well I don't really want to go onto sites and RP cause it means that people will be waiting on me to respond and I just don't have that much leisure time to do that. So instead I've decided to write up the stories of my BJD characters, I will make up things as I go and my writing is rather crap =D so be prepared to to read a load of it if you're interested.

Oh and another thing I will label the BJD stories so that they pop up on the side, so if you want to read a specific character's story then all you have to do is click on their name on the side and tadaaa, you have their story n_n, sometimes I will interlink the dolls, so stories may jump around a bit. I will try not to do that too often. If I find that it gets a bit too messy then I'll only label them as whoever it is most important to =D

One final note, my bodies are in the UK YAY! They will arrive soon and there will be pictures and updated profiles hopefully. I need to make t-shirts for them once they arrive, seeing as I thought, "Why buy them when I can make them?" So yush, hopefully there will be a massive photo update soon!

Yush! I was commissioned to do a doll face up, so yer I thought I should post some updates and some not so much a step by step thing, but just the different stages that I had done. Also my first ever commission n_n and I was paid too even though I was offering free ones, the owner was lovely to work for =D

Souldoll Lev - Owned by Santinian

This is how he arrived to me, Santinian had gotten super glue on her boy's face whilst trying to stick an eyelash back on, she she tried to get it off with acetone nail varnish remover, which is a no no because it can melt away the resin. But she was lucky that it didn't do that and instead it had only tinted that area blue.

It's not very visible in this photo, but if you look a bit closer you can see the blue tint around the eye area.

This is the photo of the doll with changed eyebrows, Santinian wanted her boy to have dark blonde eyebrows I originally had given him thin orangy brown ones, but I changed them to her liking, thicker and dark blonde =D

And the final product n_n he's borrowing some eyes and Sil's wig and hat hehehe, but yush I sent him back home today, so hopefully she will love him even more after seeing him in person =D
